Recently I was invited to attend the 2019 Walmart Holiday Showcase at the event center, Kindred North, located in Centerton, Arkansas. I have been blogging since the summer of 2011 as Leslie In Little Rock and was invited by the Megaphone Community and Soapbox Influence, a Social Media Agency, to attend this three hour Open House featuring everything you will need for the upcoming holiday season, including home decor, food, wine, apparel, wrapping stations and baking supplies that can all be purchased at your local Walmart store.
After the three hour drive from my home in Little Rock to Northwest Arkansas, I felt like I had just stepped into a winter wonderland!
The entire event center, more than 5,200 square feet, was filled with holiday decor, furniture, decorations, food and wine. Christmas scents filled the air. The staff of Walmart created holiday decor inspiration for every room of the house – from a girl’s bedroom to the guest bedroom, the living room, mudroom and more!
With all the food and bottles of wine, I decided I wanted to move right in and live there until the end of the Holiday season!
From Thanksgiving to Christmas and New Year’s Eve, all the food – appetizers, main meal, desserts, snacks and wines were provided along with samples of each item. It was a food lover’s dream!
I was amazed at all the detail that went into creating this event. Each participant was given a Walmart “goody bag” filled with different holiday items. We received a Walmart Holiday Look Book that contains a complete guide to Holiday Hosting by Walmart. It was divided into different sections, including Holiday Feasting, Snacks,Desserts, Big Meal items such as Butterball Whole Turkey, Sam’s Choice Spiral-Cut Brown Sugar Ham, Side Items, and different tips to ring in the New Year such as suggestions for Appetizers, Adult Beverages and a Winemakers Selection.
There was a wrapping station, complete with wrapping paper, ribbon, bows, tags, and gift bags, everything you will need to wrap your holiday gifts. For the bakers, you can buy all your holiday baking supplies at Walmart, including pre-made gift baskets that are wrapped and ready to give to your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors or your children’s teachers.
This girl’s room, complete with pink colored furnishings, stuffed animals, bedding and a precious Christmas tree, is all set for your favorite Princess, from a toddler to a teen!
To complete your holiday decor, Walmart offers a large collection of holiday themed signs with sayings such as “Merry Christmas”, “Let heaven & nature sing” and “’tis the season”. With their everyday low prices, you can afford to buy holiday decorations that you can use year after year in your home.
I had a wonderful time, ate delicious food, talked to some great vendors about their products and met other amazing bloggers, such as Annie Austen of Kansas City.Follow her on Instagram – she has an amazing Lifestyle site https://www.instagram.com/annie_austen/.
To sum up my day, here is one of my favorite sayings that was found on both a sign and a kitchen towel I received in my goody bag –
I Just Want To Bake Stuff And Watch Christmas Movies All Day
