One of my fellow bloggers I met at this event, Jamie Smith from Northwest Arkansas, is a Writer, Consultant and Speaker. She runs her own business, https://jamiesnotebook.com/ and also writes her personal blog, https://sunflowersandthorns.com/.

Jamie has a category of Chronic Illness/Disability on her blog and often invites Guest Writers to tell their own experiences of living with a chronic illness. She asked me to be a Guest Writer in her Chronic Illness Series and the following entry was published on January 31, 2016.

Update – September 2020
So much as happened in the last few years. I just started a new job as a Library Assistant in the Editorial Department at the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette! I really like it because I proof the online editions of the newspaper, so I get to use my journalism background along with my love of the news.

Enjoying a strawberry margarita at Senor Tequila!
My oldest daughter, Lauren, continues to work remotely for the University of Chicago while my youngest daughter, Sara, just celebrated her first year as a News Reporter for a TV station.
