Leslie’s Notes
Did I mention that Channing Tatum is in this movie? I also think that Jamie Foxx runs around somewhere in the background of the film. Child Actress Joey King, who turns 14 years old on July 30, is amazing in this role as Channing Tatum’s history obsessed (and technology advanced) daughter Emily.
“White House Down” reminds me of the first “Die Hard” movie released in 1988 starring Bruce Willis as a New York policeman who confronts German terrorists during a Christmas party in a downtown Los Angeles office building!

My grandchildren and I saw "White House Down," and we all enjoyed it. You are right about the young history-obsessed actress who played Channing Tatum's daughter. She did an amazing job. My only quibble with the movie is that all the bad guys, with the exception of CT, fit the same profile — angry white men. Hollywood needs some fresh villains.

Donna, Thank You for your comment! I really liked this movie. The young girl reminds me of my 16 year old daughter Sara. She loves history and current events and is the only teenage girl I know that tapes both The Today Show and NBC News every day! In fact Sara is flying to DC tomorrow to attend a Young Leadership Conference until August 5. It's a great opportunity for her and I can't wait to see her pictures from all the events they have planned!
I've been asked to write an article for a Cancer Support Group and will let you know when it's put on their website. The lady who emailed me this past week said she found me on twitter and loves my blog! I'm glad to know other people read it too. I hope you and your family have a great weekend! Leslie
